Elon Musk is launching a new initiative to make Bitcoin less polluting, which has led to a rise in the price of cryptocurrency.
The boss of Tesla and SpaceX, who is a fan of cryptocurrencies, has a huge influence on the virtual currency market and after criticizing Bitcoin for its polluting side, the American billionaire now wants to make it more ecological.
Musk therefore launched the "Bitcoin Mining Council" with this in mind and the latter has already discussed with the "miners", the people creating Bitcoin, on this subject.
He said: “They are committed to using environmentally friendly techniques. Potentially promising ”.
The council, chaired by Musk and MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor, however revealed that he has no plans to change the fundamental coding of digital currency.
